Key Dates:

- AEP Window: October 15 – December 7

- Changes Effective: January 1, 2025

The Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP), running from October 15 to December 7, is your chance to make changes to your Medicare Advantage or Part D plans for 2025. To ensure you're making the best choices for your health and finances, follow these important steps:

1. Review Your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC): In September, you should have received an ANOC letter detailing any changes to your current Medicare plan. Look for increases in premiums, coverage adjustments, or network changes that might affect you.

2. Check Your Drug Plan: If your prescriptions have changed, it’s time to re-evaluate your Part D drug plan. Make sure it still provides the best coverage for your needs.

3. Confirm Doctor Network: If you’re on a Medicare Advantage plan, check with your doctor’s office to ensure they're still in-network for the coming year.

4. Consider Switching Plans: Whether it’s because your premium is rising, coverage is changing, or you want more comprehensive coverage, AEP is your opportunity to switch plans. If you’re moving from Medicare Advantage to Medigap, be prepared to answer health questions for approval.

5. MyMedicare.gov Account: Set up an account to track your plan details and Medicare claims, and to easily manage your prescription drug list.
